MISSIONS and faith promise

We believe that we are all called by God to be ministers of the gospel. In Matthew 14:16 Jesus told his Disciples not to send the people away, but said simply; “You give them something to eat.” Life as a Christian doesn’t stop with a living, growing, thriving relationship with God, but moves into loving others in the name of Jesus. We believe that as we grow in Christ, we are sent to “proclaim Christ to the world.” We do this in and through the mission field, which starts in our local community, and expands in every direction to include the whole world.

Faith Promise Giving gives every individual in the church the opportunity to make a promise - a commitment of money - that will be given dependent upon God's abundance during the mission year. The commitment is not a pledge, tithe or offering.  It is a promise that you make to God to be an open channel to provide for God's work around the world. Faith Promise giving is divided into four areas: local, area, national, and worldwide needs. You can take part in this wonderful ministry as well by clicking on the form below.

fun and fellowship

Here at Canadian FUMC, we like to have fun together!  There are several events planned throughout the year.  Most recently, we held a Burgers and Bingo event to kick off the school year, and are planning another one soon.   There are also several potlucks and breakfasts on our schedule.
